It's an interesting road. Theres a rumour amongst the motorcycle community that police turn a blind eye to that road so that tourists arn't turned off from visiting the area and spending the money. Considering the relatively low speed limits there one would presume it would make a great speed trap but I've never seen a radar gun up there in the last 10 years or so.
