Tough crowd.

- coldtea 11y agoWell, these "[stranded Athenian] soldiers" were relatives and friends of the crowd. The crowd and the soldiers in the Athenian democracy were part of the same population of around a 30-50.000 people -- the Athenian citizens (although in some battles slaves also fought, including in this one, the crowd wound't be that tough on the generals if those were perished).
