I agree with your analysis wholeheartedly.
- maxerickson 11y agoYeah, I just checked, the per person usage here is ~1050 gallons per month. There's no shortage of water ($3 for 10,000 gallons), and we don't work real hard to conserve (and no kids in the house). It could be the case that the article got it wrong. You sort of hope so. Otherwise there is probably something wrong with their plumbing.
