IIRC, he oppressed, imprisoned, tortured and killed people in large numbers, for decades.
- jacquesm 11y agoYes, he did that too. (Especially to his opponents.) The keyword is 'SAVAK'. (See comment elsewhere in this thread). The Shah was a dictator in every sense of the word, but surprisingly, he had some good sides too.
