It happens, this is true, but I wouldn't say it's common to make 60% in a few hours.
- mikeash 11y agoI suppose there's probably a lot of reporting bias, where IPOs which jump a lot are the ones that make the news. Even if it's uncommon, an auction would ensure it doesn't happen to you. Maybe!
