Bitcoin is not anonymous. Something must be done to disabuse journalists of this notion!
It's misinformation and particularly dangerous for people who need actually anonymous payments like dissidents living under oppressive regimes.
- mirimir 11y agoYes, people hear "crytocurrency" and think "hidden". Bitcoin just uses cryptographic signing for authentication, to prevent theft and double spending. It's the opposite of anonymity.
