I believe the reasoning is called fear, uncertainty, and doubt.
- dsmithatx 11y agoThat would actually be a nice reason compared to what I believe. I see this as their opportunity to try and stop Bitcoin for it's actual uses, anonymous payments, not paying taxes etc. etc.
- michael_fine 11y agoI imagine that's much of the motivation for the actual politicians, though the public wouldn't stomach this without a healthy does of FUD.
