- huac 11y agoIt's worked before: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indiana_Pi_Bill https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indiana_Pi_Bill
- maxmax 11y agoSo irrational.
- TazeTSchnitzel 11y agoNo, clearly it was rational. ᴨ = 3.2
- WildUtah 11y ago"So irrational" To me, it's transcendental.
- Kristine1975 11y agoThe question is whether it's normal.

- AndyMcConachie 11y agoI blame it on unicode. Without unicode these terrorists would not be able to communicate with impunity.
- ceejayoz 11y agoIn fairness, character encoding is clearly the work of terrorists.
- logfromblammo 11y agoAnd they go around planting byte-order marks everywhere.
- gepoch 11y agoIf you come to America, you should have to learn the AMERICAN Standard Code for Information Interchange. Speak the language. None of this Unicode i18n nonsense!
- ceejayoz 11y ago"Press for billing, or please hold for an attendant."
- kelvin0 11y agoI think more to the point, blame Joel Spolsky: http://www.joelonsoftware.com/articles/Unicode.html http://www.joelonsoftware.com/articles/Unicode.html He made it easier to understand unicode!
- agumonkey 11y agoYour scope is too small. The root of all this is decent education.
- JustSomeNobody 11y agoThis! The generation of large primes needs to be banned. The government needs to work with chips manufacturers to insure that no computing device can generate large primes. This is the root of the issue. If large primes go away, so does encryption! We need to make sure our government understands this. #BanLargePrimes
- thomasahle 11y ago> The government needs to work with chips manufacturers to insure that no computing device can generate large primes. Please don't tempt them.
- JustSomeNobody 11y agoI'm sure I don't have to tell you I was being sarcastic. :)
- jacquesm 11y agoI'll notify the Mersenne project.
- goda90 11y agoWeird Al gets it: https://youtu.be/YY6I4MwrX7k?t=438 https://youtu.be/YY6I4MwrX7k?t=438
- SilasX 11y agoNot a joke -- there are cases where the government can get a warrant to compromise an RSA key and gag-order it so you can't say so. The implication is that it can be illegal in some cases to say "The government knows the factors of X" or even "The factors of X are Y and Z."
