- jacquesm 11y agoThat's something Amazon already knows if you bought it through them... And even if such a button were present one could press it even though the product had not been bought.
- tudorw 11y agoFor example, I'm browsing for tyres, I get that it knows that, it's even useful sometimes in helping making a purchase, but then, I do it, I'm done looking, I have tyres, regardless of where I got them, now when I see tyre ad's they are even more annoying, oh look, there's a better price than I paid 20 minutes ago, so... can I just click something to say, I have that thing, find the next thing to show me. For the advertiser having a user click it even if they had not bought the product might still be a useful flag, the user would learn that it's not going to stop adverts altogether, just move things along, if they click it too much, they'll end up back where they were and the advertiser will have learnt some things.
- brobinson 11y agoYou purchasing the product should have fired a "conversion pixel" which would now exclude you from being a valid user for seeing the product ad(s) in question. The advertiser is just wasting money if they're not using a conversion pixel. (Unless you meant just clicking "I bought it" to get rid of retargeting ads in general, not that you actually bought the product)
