My grandfather, while studying law in the Philippines was drafted to fight for the United States Armed Forces of the Far East (USAFFE) during WWII. I guess he was part of the few that got US citizenship as he was able to bring his children and consequently his grandchildren (me) to America. I am thankful for what he has done so I can live the life I have now. In return I try to contribute to society the way I know best by writing software for startups, SpaceX, and now EdgeCast.
