What exactly causes the blue? I recently discovered that the people/subjects I don't understand frighten me. And that causes load of other negative feelings. Exploring those subjects removes the fear at some point. And they are also often lot less negative in reality. So personally I've found that "ignorance is bliss" only works as long as you are not at all aware of the shit. Once you are aware, it's best to go all in.
