- Mithaldu 11y agoNo it doesn't, since it will display literally nothing without Javascript.

- philippnagel 11y agoMy point is that quite a few websites nowadays depend upon Javascript in a questionable manner. I wasn't trying to discredit the original commentator.
- Mithaldu 11y agoHaha, well shit. Turns out we were agreeing, only i failed to pick up on your sarcasm. :)
- philippnagel 11y agoI am happy that we were able to clarify this :D
- ybx 11y ago> are so naive to waste electricity on collossal scales. I know right? The last time I had to use 20 watts for an extra 5 seconds nearly bankrupted me
- Mithaldu 11y agoThat's the kind of naivety i meant. Lots of JS nowadays will have continuous and ongoing activity, keeping the CPU spinning even on tabs that are not in the foreground and actively being used.
- sotojuan 11y agoHonestly for me it's not even a matter of how much CPU is used. It's a matter of needing JavaScript to display textual information.
