- ceejayoz 11y agoI suspect the App Store comes with the OS, not from the MAS. Same situation as Messages, Calendar, Safari, etc.
- mikeash 11y agoIndeed. If you got the App Store from the App Store, that would be a bit of a catch-22. The expired certificate was part of the receipt that gets generated for an App Store app to indicate that you have the right to use that app on your computer. Stuff that ships with the system doesn't need this and so doesn't have receipts.
