Ask HN: Best survival phone?

I'm looking for a longevity-and-durability oriented device with dumbphone capabilities (phone and text). Don't care about the appearance or other features, just want a reasonably portable phone I can use on US networks. Any HN denizens have any suggestions? Thanks!
