- fragmede 17y agoAll of the Pixelmator Team ... just returned from a nearly three-month vacation. ... I hope that you can find it in your heart to grant us the time we took It it just me, or does begging off on vacation time like that seem... distasteful?
- adamhowell 17y agoNot any more than this: "And because Spider has been so successful and other Pixelmator releases were also very strong, we have made lots of money."

- mr_november 17y agoDifferent, yes, but I don't think it's distasteful. Refreshing almost. I find some in our society look down on those that have tasted some success and who, instead of driving hard to the next goal right away, take some time and enjoy their success - and then pick up where they left off and keep pushing. I admire that pixelmator is up front in saying so. That said, the comment about how much cash they've made that adamhowell quoted probably could have been left out.
- fragmede 17y agoWhat I meant with 'distasteful' was that someone felt it necessary to justify to the Internet, at large, that dared stop working for more than a second. The post came off as saying "uh, hey, so we kinda took a vacation, but not really! Heres what we worked on!" Setting up a new office and new product planning isn't a vacation. It may not be the furious deathmarch just before a new release, but it's definitely still work. Being apologetic for taking vacation is what sets up our society to look down on those who take time to stop rushing and take time to smell the roses.
- mr_november 17y agoAh - then we are on the same side. Thanks for the clarification.
