- gregpilling 11y agoyes, this is pretty normal for brick driveways and patios also. It is a tight fit though, and not easy. Often a fine sand is brushed into the joints to fill the small gaps and make a tighter fit.
- dexterdog 11y agoThe good sand has a binding agent in it and hardens when it gets wet to really lock the bricks together. Still if you want a brick they're not hard to pry out.
- waterfowl 11y agoperhaps you could lay concrete down shortly before the machine goes over and it'd adhere that way but I had the same thought.
- PhasmaFelis 11y agoBrick walkways are quite often unmortared. There's not much stopping you from stealing them, just as there's not much stopping you from stealing the dirt on the ground next to them. But bricks and dirt don't have enough resale value to be worth the effort of stealing by hand, and if you have both the resources and desire to pry up a whole section and abscond with it wholesale, then mortar would be only a minor hindrance.
