I don't have a problem with someone that hosts a few guests in their home 2-3 times a month and having them around the dinner table (what Airbnb advertises in PR that they do). I do have a problem with people running illegal hotels and blatantly violating zoning laws (what the data says a lot of Airbnb folks are actually doing).
Sorry, but people don't want to live next to a hotel. These laws exist for a reason.
