Your list of benefits missed taste. Local produce is picked closer to peak ripeness because it doesn't have to survive as much shipping.
- ars 11y agoPeople might believe that, but it isn't actually true. If anything the opposite is true because when your only market is local you can't be sure to sell everything right away, so you pick it earlier to give yourself extra time to sell it.
