The only thing worse than paying a ransom is publicly announcing you've paid a ransom.
- gozo 11y agoI guess by publicly announcing that they paid ransom that "didn't work" they have slightly undermined the trust for ransom as a solution in cases like this. So it might be correct from a game theory perspective, if you disregard any decrease in trust for themselves that is.
