Just remember: you only measure what you measure. This data suggests that Central England temperatures have only been slowly rising. It doesn't say anything about average world temperatures. (The Gulf Stream might be one of the reasons North-West Europe is a relative stable point.) I'd be interested to see similar plots from the Arctic.
