Labour... $10 * 40 * 4.3 * 1.10 (taxes, bennies, etc) = $1892 per month. Rent... Etc... Basically no one can accept that children might survive without constant adult supervision so costs are astronomical. The cheapest daycare is having 2+ kids and getting a live in care giver that way rather than pay 2X for daycare you pay 1X and divide it over 2+ kids.
