Having had surgery, and been prescribed mild opiates to deal with the pain, and being on them for a short enough time that I didn't get addicted, if I lived in a free country I would prefer to have a garden with some poppies and some marijuana (as well as hops and barley and grapes and apples…) and make my own medicine, but I'm a crazy DIY-type:-) But I don't live in a free country, so I mayn't do that.
