"The heart is more expressive, enabling you to convey a range of emotions and easily connect with people."
It's still just one bit, right? How does it enable conveying a range of emotions?
- betenoire 11y agocontext provides the other bits. 'hearting' a baby announcement is not the same as 'hearting' a funny meme.
- kenko 11y agoRight, but since the context hasn't changed, they haven't increased the range of things you can convey in a given context, they've just changed what it conveys.
- jsprogrammer 11y agoThey have made claims about what it conveys. Bottom line is that it's just a button that notifies the other person that you pushed it.
- lifeformed 11y agoand now you can finally 'heart' the latest atrocity!
- samskeller 11y agoThis was the dumbest part of the post, I thought. They just changed its name... how does this make it easier to connect with people?
- saint_fiasco 11y agoIf anything, having it convey more stuff is a bad thing, because it increases ambiguity.
