Give me something that works reliably despite blood, sweat, mud, dirt, and wild temperature variations, not to mention the repeated shock of thousands of firings necessary for proper training. In an emergency situation, you don't want to pull the trigger and realize the batteries are dead... Anything that needs a wireless connection is an absolute non-starter. A gun can jam mechanically, but having a simple weapon be disabled by active ECM is just stupid.
