$0.02 per GB-month is a lot better than S3 or Cloud Storage, which is $0.15. It looks like you can only purchase 14TB per account[1], but the cost savings are such that I wonder if we'll see people switching.

But, interestingly, for business customers it's $0.20:

- gcv 17y agoWhere did you see $0.02/GB/month? The post says $0.25/GB/month.
- pieter 17y agoThat's per year
- johns 17y agoThat storage space purchase page you linked is for Gmail and Picasa only, not GDocs as far as I can tell.
- mattyb 17y agoThe blog post states that if you need more space, you can buy additional storage [<- link to page Aaron linked to] for $0.25 per GB per year. I'm guessing they simply haven't updated the page to reflect that the storage is shared across Docs as well. Edit- confirmed in the comments: The storage page will be updated later today to reflect the addition of Google Docs. http://googledocs.blogspot.com/2010/01/upload-and-store-your-files-in-cloud.html?showComment=1263315859590#c5642711433468607964 http://googledocs.blogspot.com/2010/01/upload-and-store-your...
- sadiq 17y ago"For standard Google Docs users this will be 25 cents per gigabyte, per year, while Google Apps enterprise users have to pay $3.50 per gigabyte, per year" Looks more like $3.50/gigabyte for business users. That's a pretty massive difference between consumer/business pricing.
- DenisM 17y agoI don't think 14 times difference make sense. Could it be a typo?
