- TeMPOraL 11y agoThat's why I think that accounts shouldn't be "memorialized" but "frozen in time". Once the person dies, all that data should become a matter of public history record. No alterations.
- pmoriarty 11y agoBetter yet, their account should just be closed and the content be taken down permanently. If someone else wants to "memorialize" them, they should just do so on their own active account, using whatever content they deem fit.
- TeMPOraL 11y agoI disagree. The default should be to preserve the record of a person, not trying to erase them from history and pretend they never existed.
- lukevdp 11y ago"memorialized" accounts are frozen and can't be logged into anymore. People can still post on their wall.
- DanBC 11y agoThere's nothing at all trans about this profile. It's a very simple case, and it's very common. About 2 women a week are killed by current or former partners in the UK.
