- ljk 11y agoThey probably have a list of words to check. If you have the same name as its founder then you'll be removed as well http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1386069/Mark-Zuckerberg-Attorney-Facebook-founders-account-shut-down.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1386069/Mark-Zuckerb...
- zaphos 11y agoReportedly a mixture of automated systems, user reports, and manual work by facebook employees. See the 'How Fake Names are Flagged and Targeted' section of this article: http://lifehacker.com/how-to-use-a-fake-name-on-facebook-without-getting-flag-1637644101 http://lifehacker.com/how-to-use-a-fake-name-on-facebook-wit...
- protomyth 11y agoPoorly. I'm a bit sick of the annual purge of Native American names. For f sakes, Yellow Horse has a wikipedia entry. If you are an American company claiming to want real names, then you damn well can accept people's real names. Never mind what real name means to a group that often has two "real" names.
