I would think the accountant would be exactly the sort of person who would be in witness protection.
I know the Mexican cartels are now abducting microwave transmission and cell network technicians to run their comms networks. No doubt it'll be microsat experts next (less trudging around).
- TeMPOraL 11y agoI wonder when the cartels will start running rocket companies. Or startup accelerators.
- rodgerd 11y agoThey already run submarines.
- netheril96 11y agoI guess they already have. Or, at least their money has been put into these business, if they don't directly manage them.
- TeMPOraL 11y agoInteresting. Do you have any links about that? I would really like to know if cartels are really investing in space technology, and what companies in particular. Or did you mean that the money made on war on drugs is put to that use?
- netheril96 11y agoSorry to disappoint you but I am just making wild guesses. You don't need to be an expert in technology to invest in technology companies. After all those "unicorns" earning tons of money for their early investors, I don't think a cartel would be any less intrigued than ordinary rich people.
