And the fact that you can just build hardware ontop of what's already there due to the FPGA and massive IO bus is downright neat. They've already demonstrated stuff like an oscilloscope. Also, Bunnie is a very cool guy, his blog is a wealth of information on hardware design, and Chinese manufacturing process. If anyone can make a laptop that has every component open source, it's him. might take time, but hey.
