Absolutely. But by the time our inept government even gets around to considering regulations for...well, whatever that may entail, Google will already be heavily profiting off of whatever R&D they assembled years before. This is what our tax dollars give us. It's the government's fault they can't keep this guy on the payroll. On the whole, there's such mindbendingly little personal incentive to solve problems in the public sector when entities in the private sector will offer you whatever you desire in pay/benefits.
