- setra 11y agoSounds like you are saying: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/bf/11/01/bf110153b1cdbabd705e52f087809870.jpg https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/bf/11/01/bf110153b...
- abritinthebay 11y agoNo, I hate Jezebel but the kind of BS that is present in that comic (and the attitude it pushes) IS exactly the reason why Tech has a exclusion problem. It's one step away from unironically using the term "SJW".
- vezzy-fnord 11y agoThe term "SJW" was in fact coined, unironically, by its supporters. Stack Exchange seems to confirm this: https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/202080/origin-of-the-phrase-social-justice-warrior https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/202080/origin-of... That it backfired on them does not retroactively invalidate it. The same happened with the Tea Party and "teabagger".
- NoCulturalFit 11y agoHow is the parent part of the problem? You'd think the people part of the problems are those who discriminate. Many people being pointed out of being "part of the problem" when in reality they aren't will just alienate them. With that fucked up world-view Vivek Wadhwa is a misogynist woman hater suddenly out of the blue. You need to take a step back and realise that there might be some different views and solutions to the same problems instead of painting PEOPLE as problems.
- abritinthebay 11y ago> You'd think the people part of the problems are those who discriminate. The fact that you don't see that that is exactly what posting that comic does is mind-numbingly myopic. > You need to take a step back and realise that there might be some different views and solutions to the same problems Right back at you good buddy.
