No it would not. I cannot begin to count the hours I've lost debugging ruby script based tools implicitly dependent on this behaviour. Just no. rbenv is better,

No it would not. I cannot begin to count the hours I've lost debugging ruby script based tools implicitly dependent on this behaviour. Just no. rbenv is better, particularly due to totally not doing that sort of "magic".
