I guess that makes him human. Or would you settle for the worst paying job with bad career prospects? Because otherwise you'd be guilty of job-hopping. Why are you judging people who are trying to make the most out of life?
- goodJobWalrus 11y agoFrom my understanding, they are not even allowed to work in Lebanon. So, yes, contrary to what the top comment said, even in Lebanon they are still in a prison they need to escape from.
- hugh4 11y agoOn an individual level I don't blame him, I blame the governments that didnt stop him. It's nothing personal, but if your culture and religion have ruined the place that you used to live, wanting to come en masse to a new, much better country, and practice your culture and religion there shouldn't be an option, you'll only ruin that one too.
- avar 11y agoJust as Europeans fleeing largely inter-European issues and inter-Christian disagreements in Europe shouldn't have been allowed to come to America? As we know nothing good came of that.
- mikeash 11y agoEuropean immigration to the Americas is pretty much the poster child for immigrants completely wrecking a place, taking it over, foisting their culture and religion on everybody, etc. I have a lot of sympathy for people fleeing the conflicts in the Middle East, but European immigration to the Americas is probably the worst imaginable example.
- hugh4 11y agoThat one didn't work out too well for the natives either, of I recall correctly. Is that really the example you want to use? At least in that case, the invaders came from a more advanced (by every reasonable measure) society and once they were done killing and imprisoning the natives they built a more advanced society in place. In this case the invaders come from a backwards society and religion which has already turned the cradle of civilisation into a hellhole.

- Yakimoto 11y agoI hope you apply the same logic to the homeless that move into your local parks and community areas. They are just trying to seek economic advantage, wealthy people have more money to give. It normal to strive for maximum return on minimal output. It just makes him human.
- fukusa 11y agoNot sure if you're being sarcastic but yes you could apply the same logic to homeless people. But minimal output? You can't prove that.
