Visa Denial and Reentry

Does anyone know if it is still possible for me to reenter USA to build my startup at Ycombinator after getting my visa denied previously ? I kept failing my finals and dropping out of school (2 or was it 3 times?) due to becoming a nihilist and marxist in my final years at the university. I was also suffering from some depression and suicidal thoughts. I couldn't focus and kept failing my classes and the last time i reapplied back , I was denied a visa under immigration law section 2.14b for being given too many chances to prove myself and failing to do so (as far as I remember, I did not overstay my visa at any point, thought I would need to double confirm with the consular again). Have there been examples of programmers who were denied US visa previously, but then subsequently were issued a reentry permit and managed to build a successful startup at YCombinator and also successfully applied for citizenship in USA ?
