Despite the misleading title, I imagine affecting the quantum behaviour of atoms with lasers has all kinds of nice use cases!
- stephengillie 11y agoOne of the key points of the article is that measurement is necessary to freeze the state. Where do you see watching the atoms or not had no effect on the phenomenon?
- rubidium 11y agoAffecting the quantum behavior of atoms with lasers is pretty much the entire field of ultracold quantum gases :) A handful of Nobel prizes have been awarded for it.
