When one of my children was about 4 or 5 we visited friends in Abu Dhabi. We went out for brunch in one of the 6* hotels there. The pudding table was enormous with 3 chocolate fountains, piles of cakes, the works. My son went up to the table, stood there for about 3 minutes, then burst into tears. Just the thought of deciding what he wasn't going to eat was too much for him.
