- dragonwriter 11y agoNeither would actually building a clock from scratch have been, usually. The White House invitation was a direct counter to the negative overreaction of local officials, and a means of sending a message to other tinkerers -- and other local officials -- that the kind of reaction that occurred was not acceptable.
