Is there any data file to show what comment has been marked as positive or negative?
For example, if you look at the Quora thread ( https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1197146 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1197146 ), a comment could say something good about the site and also provide some feedback (e.g. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1197230 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1197230).
Is this comment marked positive or negative? If feedback is somehow clubbed with negative comments, I would doubt the accuracy of the analysis.
- josefresco 11y agoI had this same thought - as many times I comment and then realize that it could be "taken" several ways. It also amuses me to no end that someone is collecting and analyzing data from HN based (in part) on my sometimes idiotic comments and silly debates with Internet strangers.
