Hiring Manager: "Wow thanks for including a link to your github in your resume."
Me: "Yes I have to tell recruiters not to remove it. They think it's contact info."
Me: "As you can see I can implement search algos, web services, and even have some samples on how to insert your own frames into a web cam feed"
Manager: "Fantastic! Can we send you a coding quiz?"
Me: Ugh. "Sure."
I get an email asking me to implement FizzBuzz.
Give me a break.
- jfountain2015 11y agoBlindly hitting candidates with a test is rude. There was definitely a trend a few years ago where bigger name companies wouldn't even look at resumes. They would just send a test out to every candidate who applied.
