Yes, you're totally right. Even companies which are in theory very design-driven (Apple, obviously) have blatant inconsistencies and different standards in different products. Still, it's a security warning in a high profile product which is used, for many, as the main Internet client. There's really no excuse for not being careful about color blindness.
