Thanks for the report. Yea it is not easy to install on linux unless you use the docker version. There are many dependencies and PPAs required in the script because it does everything. We are working on better linux packing and distribution (see our issue tracker), but it is not easy to do it right, and it will take a while. PRs very welcome!
