“Women Who Write About Tech Are Still Being Abused Online”
- revscat 11y agoThis is not ok. This is not free speech. It is not taking a noble, principled stand. It is not clever, or admirable, or justifiable. If you get caught doing this I sincerely hope that a judge sees fit to put your internet acess on a tight leash, to say the least. Such behavior does nothing to further any rational debate. Intimidation tactics are the surest sign of a weak argument, and damages rather than helps any underlying goals

- Avawelles 11y agoI completely agree with you. I had noticed that on a lot of tech articles written by women - especially articles where they remark on their experiences of gender bias in the workplace - the comments are particularly brutal and offensive. But I was surprised to see that those kinds of hate comments escalate to such a frightening level.
