If I post my password on the Internet and someone uses it to get into my account, is that still considered hacking? And illegal? [serious question]
I guess if I lost my wallet and someone finds it and uses my debit card, I'd consider that stealing.
- blackguardx 11y agoThe CFAA (Computer Fraud and Abuse Act) prohibits unauthorized access. If you find a piece of paper with an account name and password written on it and use it for access, it is illegal.
- rayiner 11y agoIf you lost your house key and someone came into your house and looked around, that'd be trespassing.
