At my job we've avoided microservices thus far. 90% of our deployments are just to Heroku. Every now and then I lament in my mind that we aren't using the coolest new tools (Docker, microservices and all the things that come with), but what we have works really well, and we can easily scale up by 10x and things will still work.
Every time I think of the mess that it will cause to break up things to microservices, I'm glad we aren't doing it- yet. When the time comes, we'll roll out to services as-needed, but that day isn't today.
