- jacquesm 17y agoI've been messing around with GPU coding lately, the speedups I'm seeing are pretty scary for some applications, likely you are using a lot of ffts, have you considered looking at GPUs to see if that might be a way to speed up the turn around time ?
- k0ban 17y agoWe hadn't, since this is not an issue so far. CPU is quite cheap, so it is much easier to use cloud than adjust code for GPU.

Tangent: Given your expertise, do you think it would be theoretically possible to write a program that attempts to detects the '1' beat in Latin/Afro-Cuban music, using your techniques, live, in real-time? Maybe using clave detection. Thanks in advance.
- k0ban 17y agoNot at this time. We rely on the whole song analisys for much of precision improvements. There is some literature out there on real-time beat following but the precision is poor so far
