Take a look at elm-lang.org. It is a functional language that compiles to javascript. Effects are implemented as Tasks (as I understand kind of like a Monad). It has very good interoperability with javascript code.
- dangoor 11y agoYeah, Richard Feldman's Strange Loop talk[1] touched upon Tasks and they do indeed look exactly like what I'm looking for. Elm does look very nice.
