- x0x0 11y agothere are already 2 well funded competitors. Regardless of whether it's a good business model or not for a solo/small company, you probably can't compete with businesses that don't have to make money for many years.
- alecsmart1 11y agoCan you please let me know which these two competitors are?
- x0x0 11y agodatanyze, not sure the funding similarweb, $40m funding
- martin-adams 11y agoJust looked at similar web and tested 3 sites I work with. They are pretty accurate on their traffic estimates. Anyone know how that is calculated?
- trahn 11y agoI think they use DNS data to estimate the amount of traffic.
- iwillreply 11y agoEstimated using samples gathered with analytics through third-party browser plugins. http://support.similarweb.com/customer/en/portal/articles/1384438-how-does-similarweb-calculate-estimated-visits- http://support.similarweb.com/customer/en/portal/articles/13...

- isalmon 11y agoI'm the founder of Datanyze. We raised $2M in funding so far, but we are bigger than BW (and I'm sure SimilarTech) in terms of revenue.
- codingdave 11y agoIf your competitors are not making money, you don't actually have to compete with them. Without revenue and growth and/or profit, that money is not an asset, but a time limit, after which they are done. Being well-funded does not make a competitor significant - only their actions and their product can do that.
