the problem with the @mention box is that it doesn't tell you when you have a mention. So new users won't even know that it exists.
The whole point is that there is just too much of a learning curve with twitter for regular people. Unless you start actively using twitter, you have no incentive to learn it.
- catfish 17y agoThat has not been our experience with Twitter. I know your passionate in your belief, but our statistics do not support your position. Business clients pay for performance, not beliefs...
- vaksel 17y agowell that was my experience, I didn't even know I was getting mentions, until I installed TweetDeck. We aren't talking about active twitter users here. We are talking about a new person, who just created their twitter account. Of course someone who is active on twitter knows about @username.
