Get a clip zip (~$30) and a 128gb sd card (~$50), put rockbox on it ($0), enjoy your entire collection in whatever codec you want, in a form factor that works better for exercising, with a week battery life to boot.
- irl_zebra 11y agoGood suggestions, I didn't know about the Clip or Rockbox until now. You wouldn't happen to know any way to listen to Spotify on a similar device do you? I don't have any mp3s as I've been using Spotify for years. Right now my solution has been to have a super cheap/small Android phone, install Spotify, and use it in offline mode reconnecting at least every 30 days. I got the phone for like $15 on a Radioshack sale or something.
- mjcohen 11y agoClip zip only accepts up to 32GB.
- provemewrong 11y agoOn paper. They work with SDXC cards if you format the cards as FAT32.
- nickysielicki 11y agoAnother reader already commented, but just to reiterate, this is not true. The stock firmware may only accept 32GB, but rockbox certainly can do 128GB cards.
