The ban was put into place because people were broadcasting provocative and violent videos showing torture and cutting throats of cows (sacred to Hindus in neighbouring Indian states). - arsalanb 11y agoThis is a vague reason. Animal slaughter for food is a common practice world wide. Kashmir isn't the only place where this happens. Edit — Infact, judging by the dress code, the video you've posted is from somewhere in South India (where internet was not banned)
